What to Expect
Pick-up will be from your hotel.

The Historic City of Ayutthaya is well-known from historical records.  As one of the world’s largest cities of its time and a major political, economic and religious center, many visitors recorded facts about the city and their experiences there. Today, only a few remains might give a glimpse of the impressive city they must have seen. Its remains are characterized by the prang (reliquary towers) and big monasteries. Most of the remains are temples and palaces, as those were the only buildings made of stone at that time. The great cultural value of Ayutthaya's ruins were officially recognized in 1991, when the Historic City became an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its proximity to Bangkok make it a popular day-trip destination for travelers from Bangkok.

You'll start your journey by bus to get to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand, it is 80 kilometers to the of north of Bangkok. His grandiose ruins are still the subject of archaeological excavations. You'll also visit the ancient summer palace for the kings of Siam Bang Pa In. For lunch, a buffet will be served on board. This wonderful 4-hour cruise through the Chao Praya river will surely leave a pleasant memory. Important: when exiting from the Oriental Hotel. You can also depart this tour in a boat and return by bus. Travelling by boat to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya is popular among foreigners since it does not only reveal the beauty as well as lifestyle of the people on both sides of the Chao Phraya River, but also reflects the life in history at the time of the Ayutthaya Kingdom when the Chao Phraya River served as a channel of transportation in trading with foreign countries.
