Ban Jelacic Square, Zagreb

After that we’ll visit the heart of the medieval Gradec hill, today a home to the colorful roof of St. Mark’s Church, and the Parliament and Government buildings. We’ll walk down Ćirilometodska street and hear stories about alphabet, theater, witches, art, marriage… Our next stop will be at the beautiful St. Catherine’s Church, known for its Baroque stucco decorations and painted ceiling. We’ll arrive to Lotrščak Tower, a part of the original defensive walls from the 13th century with an interesting origin story. We’ll be there right on time to see and hear a cannon fire at noon! Don’t be scared, it happens every day. After that it’s time to enjoy the shortest funicular ride in the world.
