Full description

After a morning pickup at your hotel, head to your first stop, a Batuan traditional Balinese house, located in the Gianyar regency. Follow your guide to a typical house inhabited by local people. Admire Balinese architecture — a compound with several buildings — and learn the importance of each part.

Then journey to the Tegallalang rice fields of Ubud, famous for its beautiful scenery of rice paddies and the traditional subak irrigation system. Get a stunning view of the rice terraces on the slopes of the hills across the valley, and enjoy the cool and breezy climate. Next, visit a coffee plantation to learn about the famous luwak coffee. Learn how the farmers collect the still-intact beans from the forest floor and clean, roast, and grind them. Study the entire process of making the unusual brew, and get a chance to try some other coffees, tea, and cocoa drinks. Continue to Ubud Royal Palace (Puri Saren Ubud) and gaze in awe at one of the area's most prominent monuments. Constructed in traditional Balinese style, the palace has been well-preserved by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel's heirs. Marvel at the gardens and the banyan tree that provides shelter from the heat. Afterward, make your way to Sacred Monkey Forest and discover the home of around 200 monkeys in Ubud. Believed by the locals to be "God's Guard of the Dalem Agung Temple," the long-tailed macaques dwell in certain areas and can often be seen on the roads.  End your tour at Tanah Lot Temple, known for its enchanting seaside setting and sunset views. Look at the ancient Hindu shrine, perched in the crashing waves, and watch the sun melt over the horizon. Then, travel you back to your hotel or accommodation.

This is a great way to spend a day seeing so much that Bali has to offer. Leo our driver was amazing and spent a lot of time explaining the Balinese culture and traditions, which we found really interesting. We would thoroughly recommend and the stop at the Balinese house and tasting/explanation of Luwak coffee was of particular interest. 5 stars

Our guide was Sarwa. He was prompt, friendly and most of all, knowledgeable! He really knew what he was doing and ensured that we would enjoy the day by willing to alter the trip a little to make it more personal. I would highly recommend Sarwa to anyone wanting an amazing tour of Bali!
