What You'll Do
 • AquaMarine only offers diving at Bali's better dive sites.
 • Maximum ratio of 1 dive guide for 4 divers.
 • We have the three best custom-built dive boats in Bali.
 • Minibuses customised for maximum space and leg room.
 • Emphasis on safety and enjoyment.
This Dive Safari “circles” the island allowing you to experience the widest variety of Bali Dive Sites. The circuit proposes a diversity of dives including walls, slopes, shipwrecks, reefs, drifts with opportunities of macro and wide-angle photography.
What to Expect
We created this ‘13D/12N - 27 dives - Best of Bali Dive Safari 2016 and 2017’ exactly as we would wish a “full circle” Safari to be created for us if we were visiting Bali as scuba-divers. The itinerary includes both shore- and boat-diving, and encompasses a wide variety of dives: walls, muck, wrecks, reefs, drifts, with opportunities for macro and wide-angle photography. Nothing has been included ‘for the sake of it’.

At these sites you’ll see fantastic hard and soft corals, great density and diversity of marinelife – from large pelagics such as Manta rays and Mola-Mola (Ocean sunfish) in season, to the tiniest juveniles and pygmy seahorses. The pre-planned timing of dives ensures you’ll see the maximum possible with the best conditions (as far as we can predict conditions!). Resorts have been chosen for ambience, location, facilities and value for money.

If you want to dive Bali but the choice of dive sites is overwhelming, choose the AquaMarine Diving - Bali Dive Safari, 13 Days/12 Nights/27 Dives - taking you to all ofBali's better dive sites. For those with a limited number of days in Bali, we are offering shorter “NorthCoast” and “East Coast” programmes.

Dive Sites Description:

Days 03-04:

Menjangan Island Part of West Bali National Park, Menjangan was Bali’s first internationally-known diving location and is still famous for its coral walls with easy conditions, warm waters and great visibility that can reach 50m+. Due to the white sand and good visibility, there is usually a lot of sunlight to bring out the bright colours of the schooling fishes surrounding you. The walls are covered with soft corals, gorgonian fans and sponges. We frequently see batfishes and Big-eyed trevallys, as well as turtles and barracudas. Can be done as a Day Trip but we recommend an overnight stay in the area.

Day 05:

Puri Jati: Bali’s current hotspot for muck diving. Visibility is 5-25m, and the water warm. A wide, gentle brown sand slope with patches of seagrass and tufts of lavender soft corals hiding many juvenile batfishes and lionfishes, rare fishes, crustaceans, cephalopods (including Wonderpus, Blue-ring and Mimic octopus), and fascinating sand dwellers including unusual Mantis shrimps, Fingered dragonets, wide variety of ghostpipefishes, seahorses, seamoths, demonstingers, Cockatoo flounders, Veiled melibe nudibranchs, soft coral cowries, stargazers, the list goes on.

If conditions are unfavourable for Puri Jati, you will dive at Secret Bay.

Secret Bay: Bali’s best known muck-dive, max depth 12m. The only bay off the Bali Strait making it a large, safe catch-tank for many juveniles and rare macro species including Bobbit worms, Hairy frogfishes, and Banggai cardinalfishes.

Days 06-07:

Tulamben Bay: Quite rightly Bali’s most popular dive location. World-famous for the 120m USAT Liberty shipwreck, Wall/Drop-off and Coral Garden, Tulamben Bay offers incredible shore-diving with very easy conditions - perfect for divers of all levels. The resident marine life includes a huge school of Big-eyed trevallys, Leaf scorpionfishes, Bumphead parrotfishes and Pygmy seahorses. Magical Night-diving! Recommended for UW photography and, of course, snorkelling.

Day 08:

Amed: The reefs just offshore from the quiet fishing and salt-panning village of Amed yield many unexpected treasures. Due to the easy conditions at Amed, it is suitable both for novice and experienced divers. The water temperature can be affected by thermoclines, and the visibility is usually 14-22M. The better known sites in the area are Amed Wall, Amed Reef and Lipah Bay which is 3km to the southeast of Amed and has a 20m coral-encrusted wreck of a steel freighter.

Day 09:

Nusa Penida: The largest of three islands lying off Bali’s east coast, Nusa Penida offers drift-diving in mild to strong currents. The water is cold but often startlingly clear, with gorgeous corals, prolific fishes, some turtles, reef sharks and, from July to mid-November, Mola-Mola (Ocean sunfish). Manta Point, on southwest Nusa Penida, is a must-see dive site.

Day 10:

Mimpang/Tepekong: Some ofBali’s most stunning diving: vast numbers and great diversity of fishes and frequent pelagic visitors, plus occasional shark sightings, set against chiselled black walls with beautiful, healthy corals and often superb visibility. Best known for Mimpang’s Wall and Tepekong’s Canyon. AMD-B dive staff are highly experienced at these sites.

Blue Lagoon: AquaMarine’s favourite treasure trove. White sand, huge stands of Staghorn coral, Rhinopias (eschmeyeri and frondosa), ghostpipefishes, seamoths, Flamboyant cuttlefishes, Solar-powered nudibranches, Cockatoo waspfishes and more! Also great for snorkelling and highly recommended for Night-diving.

Gili Biaha; AquaMarine is one of only a few companies to offer dive trips to this small crescent-shaped island. There is a beautiful and healthy reef around the island, a rocky slope on the north side and a rugged black wall around the southern part: with the breaking waves above, the wall is absolutely beautiful. Divers can expect to see anything from Mola-Mola (Ocean sunfish) to nudibranchs! There is also a shark cave large enough for six divers, while the protected area outside the cave has anglerfishes, Leaf scorpionfishes, octopus, cuttlefishes and nudibranches.

Day 11

Gili Selang: This small island on Bali’s eastern point offers both protected reef-diving and drift-diving with big fish action. The interesting and rich sand slope to the north of the island has some stands of hard branching corals and occasional bommies, the deeper areas of the slope are more protected and therefore home to sea fans, soft corals, barrel sponges and coral bushes. Along this sand slope you may well see White-tip reef sharks and Bumphead parrotfishes.
