early start but not a problem. driver contacted me the morning of pickup to confirm collection location. swapped onto a bigger coach and travelled as a massive group to marrakech. Guide was brilliant, walk around the medina and lunch on a rooftop bar. Guide explained about henna tattoos, monkey handlers and generally things to remember whilst in your free time. more than enough free time after lunch. highly recommended if you are not staying in marrakech.
Loads of things to see so be ready to walk. Skipping the line in all the main attractions is amazing and saves you loads of time. As we are not museum geeks we enjoyed going in, listen to a summary with the guide, quickly browse around in freedom and go to the next. Nice stop for snacks, for Moroccan pharmacy and leather shop.
This was a fantastic tour to the Unesco world heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou as well as a visit to the Atlas Film Studios. Definitely not to be missed by movie buffs! The road trip takes in Berber country with the opportunity of tasting Berber cuisine and admiring (buying) traditional jewellery.
I met my guide Khalid promptly. He led me to the different Marrakech sights, explaining each one and hiving me plenty of time to explore on my own and take photos.
Amazing!! Hamid was the best! He was so fun and we all learned a lot! We loved him and the tour!
