      Great Tour, loved it!

We were picked up on time, and in the way to the start of the tour, our guide already told us lots of anecdotes of the island and things we could do at a later point in time. The tour itself was very enjoyable, and included diverse landscapes and beautiful views. At every turn, we got small stories and the background of what we saw. After making sure that we'd would be fin with it, our guide made photos of the landscape and us, which we will receive in order to have a nice memory of the tour. I appreciated that in particular since I always end up taking too few photos during my travels, and regretting it later All in all, I can absolutely recommend this tour and guide. Thanks a lot!

      Great hike. Fantastic Guide.

This hike provided some really interesting scenery and nice views. Our guide was so helpful and interesting -providing us with information about the island, the area in which we were going, and stopping to show us local flora and point out other things that we would have missed otherwise. We ate blackberries, fresh dill, and a honeysuckle-type plant (can't remember the name) as we foraged along the route. When we reached the watermills, we were given a detailed description of how they worked and even had a look at a video demonstrating it. This would also have been missed if we would have hiked this trail on our own. The guide went at our pace and gave us time to take photos and breaks. The hike itself was challenging in spots but would be okay for beginners (that's what we are) with good shoes. A walking stick may be helpful if you have one. On our way back to Ponta Delgada after the hike, the guide dropped us off at a local beach instead making for a great afternoon!
