From Ayia Napa: Half-Day Surf & Turf Blue Lagoon Adventure

3. From Ayia Napa: Half-Day Surf & Turf Blue Lagoon Adventure

Enjoy the day both on land and in water on a surf and turf tour of Cyprus's east coast. Your tour will begin with a ride in a jeep safari taking you to your first stop at Aiya Napa's Love Bridge, a natural white rock formation. From here you'll head further off-road to the famous sea caves. These caves are a popular destination where the brave at heart can take a dive into the depths of the sea cave's crystal clear waters. Your journey continues to the top of Cape Greko with a 10 minute trek to the crest. As the most eastern point of Europe, here a 360 degree view of the Mediterranean Sea awaits you. Take in the breathtaking views of the scenic landscape and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze. After your trek, you'll make a quick stop at the natural bridge of Koraka for some photos and then go to a hidden cave originally used as a church by the locals. It now serves as a diver’s paradise. Above the cave you'll see the blue and white chapel of Agioi Anargoiroi which replaced the former cave chapel. Head to the seaside to embark into the water on a luxurious boat. Enjoy a three hour cruise while viewing the stunning eastern coast of Famagusta. Cool off with a dip in the crystal clear waters of the blue lagoon and build up an appetite for a delicious BBQ lunch.

Agia Napa: Sea Caves Guided Kayaking

4. Agia Napa: Sea Caves Guided Kayaking

The basic kayaking route: Along Agia Napa Sea Caves (7 km / 4.5 mi) (from Limnara beach going east and back) If we have time and explorers want to we can also kayak to Cape Greko Sea Caves and back (3.5 / 2 mi). Limnara beach is the start of the kayaking trip and the basic route goes west until Glyky Nero beach (and then back to Limnara beach). The coastline is rocky, with many formations, interrupted by two natural sandy beaches (one is too narrow and shallow to go into on a kayak) and one man-made. The big highlights of the trip are the collection of Sea Caves just east of the beaches of Pantahou and Glyky Nero in Agia Napa. There are more than five sea caves, but most are either very narrow to enter or their height above sea level is limited. Usually we enter two of them. The experience is superb. We enter teh first cave from one entrance and leave from the other. The second cave that we enter has only a single (wider) entrance and the colours there are very beautiful, especially as it has a white sand bottom throughout and light blue water colours. Lovers' Bridge natural rocky arch is another big highlight of the trip. The arch is quite wide for a few kayaks to go under at the same It is highly recommended that we also do some snorkeling (if customers like to). Depending on time availability and customers preferences, we may be able also to do a go and return trip to Cape Greko Sea Caves complex, towards the east. That complex presents a different experience, as it is a cove of sea caves (the Greek Cypriot name is 'Palathkia' or 'Palaces' in English). We would not be able to enter a cave in a kayak, as they are too shallow. In the last few years the number of Mediterranean monk seals is increasing in Cyprus (there are presently about thirty all around the coastline). If we are very very lucky we may be blessed and spot one. The kayaking trip ends back at Limnara beach. It should be noted that at this point, there is capacity for only two kayakers at anyone time (plus the guide). If more that two kayakers book in the group, then we would need to manage the time that each participant will use a kayak. The time that we spend in the sea depends on the pickup location for the trip. Nicosia is possibly more than an hour away by car while Agia Napa is just a few minutes away. This would naturally mean that we would have under four hours in the sea if customers are picked up from Nicosia, and more than five if they are picked from Agia Napa or Protaras. If the customers agree, in case of forecasted choppy sea, instead we kayak around East Cape Greko (if the weather is expected to be bad everywhere, we cancel the trip).

The Jeep ride was really superb, it allowed us to visit the most beautiful corners of Ayia Napa and its surroundings. On top of that, the guide was really nice and very funny which gave us confidence for the trip. Essential activity if you want to visit places that you would not necessarily have had the opportunity to visit by yourself. Enjoy ️
