The first stop is Kalemegdan, the oldest and largest park in the city center, and the magnificent Belgrade Fortress: Leopold’s Gate, Zindan Gate, Despot’s Gate, Jakšića tower, Chapel of St Petka, and Ružica Church (Virgin Mary Church). Continue the walk through the Upper town: the Victor monument, the Roman well, the King’s gate, the Sava promenade, the Damat Ali Pasha Tomb, Clock Gate, and Clock Tower, Military Museum, and Monument of Gratitude to France. See New Belgrade’s impressive modern architecture: Ex-Central Committee of the Communist Party, Federal Executive Council, also known as Palace of Federation, Genex Tower, Sava Center, one of the biggest congress halls in this part of Europe, etc. After New Belgrade, reach Zemun, the northern area of Belgrade, characteristic for its Central European appearance, charming quarters, cobblestone streets, and fish restaurants on the Danube River banks. See Gospodska Street, the Post Office, Hotel Central, Town Museum, and the House with a Sundial, then reach the top of the hill, we’ll see the remains of the Zemun citadel that are still standing together with The Millennium Tower in the center, Zemun’s central landmark. Go down the Gardos Hill to the town center and reach the Main City Square with the Bishop’s Office and the Roman Catholic Church of the Blessed Virgin from the 18th century. Cross the Gazela Bridge and head for Dedinje – Belgrade’s most luxurious residential area. See some of the mansions in the city, perfectly nestled in the greenery and serenity of Topčider Hill. Spot the country’s biggest soccer stadium, the home of Red Star Belgrade. Leave the city and head towards Avala, Belgrade’s green mountain. Situated less than 20 km south of the city center, it is one of Belgrade’s most popular green areas, a perfect spot for recreation, picnic, or just enjoying nature. Drive through green forests until we reach the highest spot of Avala with the Monument to the Unknown Hero. After that, go down to the second largest hilltop of Avala, 440 m high, where Avala tower is situated. Coming from Avala, visit the Vračar area, where you can see one of Belgrade’s most prominent landmarks – The Church of St. Sava (also known as St. Sava Temple), one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world. Through Slavija Square, enter Nemanjina Street with almost all state governmental institutions: Government Building, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, General Staff of Serbian Army, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Finance, the State Court, etc. Later, stop in front of the Parliament Building, where you'll take a short break to take pictures. Round off the tour at Republic Square, the heart of the capital, where the city’s most prestigious cultural institutions are situated.

Feel the beating heart of Belgrade as you discover the highlights of the center of the city. See notable landmarks such as the remarkable Belgrade Fortress, Kalemegdan Park, and the Victory Monument. Drive through New Belgrade, a part of the city built in the communist era. Pass by the Palace of Serbia, its construction and facade reflect the aspiration for architectural grandiose in the second part of the 20th century. See the charming cobblestone streets, and fish restaurants in the Zemun district, the part of the city settled on the Danube river banks. Its unique spirit is visible every step of the way. Take a short coffee break before heading further with the tour. See some of the most important examples of the architectural styles of Zemun as you stroll along the river bank. Climb up Gardos Hill – the heart of Old Zemun. Its curvy cobblestone streets and tiny houses will give you the impression that Zemun is a melting pot of Mediterranean and Central European cultures. The next part of the tour involves the elite district of Dedinje with edifices of exceptionally high architectural value. Driving from Dedinje, catch a glance at the stadium of FC Red Star, a former Champions League winner. After a visit to the spectacular monument to the Unknown Hero of WWI, the work of the most significant sculptor of Yugoslavia, climb the Avala Tower via the elevators for fantastic views of the city. Hop back in the car and travel next to the hill of Vračar, crowned with Saint Sava Temple. This symbol of Belgrade, with its white and gold exterior beautifully dazzling in the sunlight, has a prominent place in the Belgrade skyline, reflecting the strong Christian Orthodox faith of Serbian. Arrive at Slavija Square and see the remains of the Serbian General Staff building, destroyed during the NATO bombing of 1999. After passing Terazije Square with its remarkable hotel Moskva, see Republic Square, the most central point of Belgrade, before the tour concludes.

This is the tour where architecture lovers can enjoy the architecture of brutalism and structuralism, that was mostly shaped by ideology of former Yugoslavia. Get to know architecture of Social Communist times built to represent power of newly created Yugoslavia. Take a look over the Belgrade from observation deck of Avala Telecommunication Tower placed on Belgrade’s tallest mountain. Destroyed in Nato bombarding in 1999, it resurrected from the ruins in 2010. Cross over the Ada bridge above Sava river. The bridge whose construction is shown on Discovery channel and is the biggest single pillion bridge in Europe. Pass through the gates of Belgrade – Western gate, Geneks twin towers connected with bridge on the 26th floor and Eastern gate, Rudo buildings both built in brutalism style. You’ll see the “Sava” Center, the project built for the needs of the Conference on European Security and Cooperation held in Belgrade in 1977, that was first and biggest conference center in former Yugoslavia. Here you can examine structural design of polyhedral buildings of this huge complex. You’ll stand in front of the Palace of Serbia, ex Federal Executive Council, spectacular building of late modernism that shows how design can represent the ruling ideology. Enormous but elegant structure was the first project of New Belgrade after the WwII.

You will visit: Memorial park Jajinci - a beautiful and secluded park and a less known site on Belgrade's tourist map. A place of mass destruction, a living, green monument of WW2, it stands as a witness of crimes, but also survival and incredible human stories. Soviet veterans memorial - the monument marks the place where a group of 22 Soviet dignitaries and veterans lost their lives on 19th of October '64. At 11:34, the plane disappeared from the radars as it was preparing to land in Belgrade. It was then seen to mysteriously veer off course, at which point it crashed against the side of nearby Mount Avala. The monument is located at the exact spot of the plane crash. Monument to the Unknown Hero - an incredible pyramid-shaped granite memorial atop of Avala, the expression of gratitude to the fallen warriors for freedom in World War I. It marks the grave of an unknown fallen Serbian soldier who defended Belgrade from the joint Austro-Hungarian and German offensive. Avala tower - Standing at 204 metres, Avala tower is the tallest structure in Serbia and the highest tower on the Balkan Peninsula. A masterpiece of architecture, it's the only tower in the world whose cross-section was an equilateral triangle symbolising the traditional Serbian tripod chair. It offers a breathtaking view at 112 metres. In addition, all our guests will learn interesting and rich information related to this “luxury” mushroom. With our experience dogs and guides, we will teach you everything you need to know about truffles. Just relax and surrender to the charms of nature in this exciting and unforgettable adventure! Our drivers will pick you up at your address in Belgrade and take you back after the tour is finished. The drive from Belgrade to the starting destination of the tour takes about half an hour. The Tour will last about 2 hours. The two-hour adventure includes a short education about Serbian truffles and their history. We will show you all the techniques for finding them accompanied by our experienced truffle dogs. You can also root out the truffle yourself after the dog finds it. After the tour, we will serve Lunch. Hosts will greet us with 3 glasses of local wine, pasta with fresh black truffle, and bruschetta with truffle jam for dessert.
