Auckland Seaplanes operates from the Auckland Harbour Aerodrome where the first pioneering flying boats flew 80 years ago. Today, Auckland Seaplane’s de Havilland Beaver Floatplanes can be seen taking off from the heart of the City of Sails and flying to stunning island destinations in the Hauraki Gulf and beyond. Auckland Seaplanes is located at 11 Brigham Street in Wynyard Quarter, Central Auckland. The point of departure is North Wharf. Our aerodrome is the most convenient departure point for passengers in Auckland, due to its proximity to hotels, main shopping district and its good connection to the public transport/ferry network. Our Floatplanes comfortably seat up to 6 adults or 7 passengers with children. Between both aircraft they are capable of transferring up to 25 passengers an hour via shuttle runs. Our flights operate on demand with a minimum of 2 people during daylight hours, 7 days a week. Passengers are expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure.
