Experience the stunning geothermal region of Auckland on this deluxe 13-hour tour. Marvel at incredible limestone formations with thousands of tiny glow worms in Waitomo, relax at a Polynesian spa in Rotorua, and enjoy a Maori cultural performance.
What to Expect
Begin at your hotel in Auckland, and make your way along the Southern Highway, enjoying the scenery of small rural townships while sipping your morning tea. Upon your arrival to Waitomo's glow worm caves, embark on an enchanting guided tour. You'll drift quietly in a boat as you stare in amazement at the world-famous cave formations lit with thousands of tiny lights from glow worms.
Relax with a boxed lunch served on board as your drive from Waitomo to Rotorua; New Zealand's highest city at 1,000 feet in altitude. After that, you'll then make your way to The Lake Spa In Rotorua, a unique geothermal environment with rock pools, before continuing the tour to the beautiful foreshore park on the banks of Lake Rotorua, and the historic Government Gardens.
After this, sit back and enjoy a 45-minute cultural Maori performance inside Te Puia's sacred meeting house. Continue with a visit to one of Rotorua's premier attractions, the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve and Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, before departing back for Auckland. Enjoy!
