What to Expect
Enjoy a 3-hour tour of the cosmopolitan city of Auckland starting at Queen Street, Auckland’s busy business and shopping district. Discover significant historic buildings, such as the Baroque Edwardian buildings of the Auckland Ferry Terminal and Post Office, and Auckland Town Hall, one of the most prominent heritage structures on Queen Street.
Continue to Auckland Museum, one of New Zealand's most important museums and war memorials, where the extensive collections tell the history of New Zealand, including rooms dedicated to natural history and military history.
Visit Domain Parks in the central Grafton district. The city’s oldest park, it contains the explosion crater and most of the surrounding tuff ring of the Pukekawa volcano. Travel down Paratai Drive to admire the expensive houses, and get fantastic views of Waitemata Harbor and islands. Continue along Tamaki Waterfront via Mission Bay. Marvel at the large native Pohutukawa trees.
End your tour at The Sky Tower, Auckland’s most prominent landmark, and the tallest free-standing structure in the Southern Hemisphere. Bring your camera to capture incredible panoramic views from the observation deck, located more than 600 feet above ground level.
