Full description
After departing from Athens at 08:45, drive for 2 hours to reach Levadia where you will have your first stop for a stretch and refreshments. Continue to Arachova, a town famous for its bright multi-colored carpets, before arriving in Delphi. At the foot of Mount Parnassos lies the sanctuary of Delphi, once home to the most famous oracle in Ancient Greece. Set in a spectacular landscape, Delphi was for centuries a cultural and religious center and a symbol of unity for the Greek world. Visit this historic archaeological site with ruins dating back to the 4th century B.C. Start with the ruins of the incredible Temple of Apollo followed by the ancient theater, featuring 35 rows and space for up to 5,000 spectators. Then head to the Delphi Museum to see more archeological treasures, including the unique bronze statue of the Charioteer dedicated to Apollo in 478 B.C. After your guided visit you will have approximately 1 hour free for lunch before boarding the bus for your return trip to Athens.

All good apart from being asked to download trippi app the night before. The app runs on Bluetooth and depends on signal quality and number of users it often drops out. But it’s a complete waste of time because you can hear every word your guide says anyway. With trippi you just get it again through your headphones 3 seconds later. If you are far enough away that you can’t hear your guide then you also far enough away for the Bluetooth to not work ! Waste of time

Excellent day, very rewarding and well organized! We had a great day (despite the heat) in the company of our guide whose explanations, in French and English were really interesting! The 2h30 drive between Athens and Delphe finally passed quickly! Special mention to the bus driver who maneuvers his vehicle very well in the few narrow and technical passages! If you are looking for a Delphe tour from Athens, do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed!

Both the driver (George) and the guide, Panagiota, were very professional, friendly and helpful. The negative is that it is a long time on the bus. We were lucky because being the end of July (+ coronavirus) there was very little traffic because the Athenians were on vacation, but they told us that this never happened. The time in the temple etc well, very good explanations; the time of the museum somewhat scarce, gave to see the main thing and also very well explained. The meal was in a family tavern with spectacular views and great food. The stop in Arachova on the way back is literally 20 minutes, there is no time to see almost anything. It should be noted that a stop was made both on the way out and on the way back to go to the bathroom, have a drink, smoke, etc. The first was longer, although the bathrooms in the place left much to be desired (at least the women's ones) and the stop back to Athens was quite short, just time to go to the bathroom.
