  • To reach the Acropolis, exit Acropolis metro station (Line 2), head towards Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, and walk along it. The Theatre of Dionysus will be on your right.

We went early September and 9am arrival was not too busy but by the time we left it was fairly packed. Also rained and there was no shelter. Recommend an umbrella

I like the convenience of having ticket pre purchased tickets instead of waiting in a long que to purchase tickets and returning to another line to enter. The timed entry made it the lines to enter quicker, although as you enter later in the day the Acropolis starts to get crowded.

Great to experience the history of ancient Greek culture. The audio guides are long winded, but we listened to them before going, which I recommend. only the acropolis audio guide was the best. I recommend arriiving either early or later in the day. It is great that you skip the ticket line, this saved us time queuing. The parthenon has some scaffold on but it still didnt take away from breathtaking view of it. Tample of Nike is also spectacular. Other historical sites are great, with Ancient agora being a must see, including the museum. I wish we purchased tickets that included the Acropolis museum as well, because thsts great too.
