What to Expect
Visit one of Umbria's most famous wines on a Sagrantino wine tasting tour from Assisi. Visit the best wineries and cellars of the region and admire the well-conserved landscape.
Transfer from central Assisi to discover the center of the Sagrantino area, focused on the city of Montefalco. Discover the secrets of an original grapevine brought to Umbria from Asia by Franciscan friars. Cultivated exclusively in this small part of Umbria, it was awarded the DOCG denomination in 1992. Seasonally, from April to October, you can also experience the impressive flavors and scents of Umbria.
Experts will guide you through the tasting of some of the best wines and cultivar in the world at the best wineries and cellars. Enjoy a light lunch or “merenda” with local products (depending on the time of your tour). The activity lasts approximately 4 hours and can either be organized in the morning or early afternoon. If you are short of time or just want to get straight to the wine tasting part, the tour can take you directly to the cellar for a great wine experience.
