Get picked up from your hotel in Antalya and depart for Perge, the ancient capital of the Pamphylia region. On this 8-hour trip you’ll head out in the morning for a visit to Aspendos, one of the most important cultural and economic centers of Pamphylia. Every year thousands of people come to see the best well-preserved amphitheater in Turkey, built in 155 with a capacity of 7,000 spectators. Today the amphitheater hosts 10,000 people and shows such as the annual Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival. After lunch you’ll visit the ancient city of Side. The city is located on a peninsula and features ruins of a Roman amphitheater, a columned road, temple to Dionysus, and to a museum in the former Turkish bath. Admire the Temple of Apollo, which is the most beautiful site in Side, situated by the sea on the ancient harbor. On the way back to Alanya you’ll stop to visit the Manavgat Waterfalls. This is a place of exceptional natural beauty and fresh, clean air. You’ll see pine forests, waterfalls, and a river replete with trout and turtles.

Expect to spend a day full of interesting archaeological sites, and to feel positive emotions when joining this, full day, excursion. The first stop takes place at the ancient city of Perge, which is a particularly famous settlement,dating back to the Roman period. As you walk around, the guide unfolds the history of this settlement, that was founded after the Trojan War. During the day, you will also visit the ancient city of Aspendos. An interesting highlight is that the ancient Roman theatre of Aspendos, is still being used for shows and concerts. After a delicious lunch, at a local restaurant, the tour continues with a visit at the ancient city of Side. An ancient temple, a theatre, marble columns, and stunning views over the Mediterranean, are some of the things you can expect. The last site to visit is Kursunlu Waterfall, which is located in a national park. The emerald water falls from an 18-meter height, and creates a truly unique backdrop for your photos. Take some time to admire the scenery, let your self free to relax, and listen to the splashing sound of the water. As this is the last stop of the schedule, the bus will drive you back to Antalya. This full day excursion finishes during the afternoon, when the bus drops you off at your hotel.
