What People Are Saying About Arrabida National Park

You have to try it! It's an amazing adventure!

We left Lisboa to Sesimbra with a minivan, arrived in that small city, strolled a little in the city and then left from the beach with the kayaks on the ocean. We were 11 and we had 2 guides with us, both called Andre. Very nice people! It is not so hard, we paddled in our own pace, always having one Andre in front of the group and the other at the back. We had little breaks in order to regroup and to admire the clifs and the clear blue sea (where you can sea the fish). We stopped on a beach, took a swim, had a picnic and the two guides offered us a dessert and a glass of wine. Then we left we the kayaks further, entered a small cave, paddled a little more and than slowly paddled back to the bech from Sesimbra, where we left. Afterthat we went by car to the Sesimbra castle, where we vistited the castle and then back to Lisbon. The trip was fantasti and I would do it again!

A day full of action and beautiful landscapes

We were really excited when the day of the trip finally came. It started with going to the meeting point where the guide picked us up very quickly. He was very friendly and kind. Afterwards we made our way out of the city and drove to Sesimbra, which is a small town fourty minutes away from Lisbon. We stayed there for an hour which gave us the opportunity to buy some food for lunch and the guide also bought Pasteis de Nata for us. Afterwards we prepared our kayaks and made our way to the ocean. Two persons could sit together in one kayak. Although we have never been kayaking before, we had no problem following the instructions of the guide and it was easy. After 20 minutes we arrived at the nature reserve. We saw stunning cliffs and even paddled into some caves which was pretty cool. After a while we reached a beautiful beach with turquoise water where we stayed for an hour and had lunch. It was a great experience. We will never forget these memories and recommend this tour highly!

Brilliant. Got a bit sunburnt but had an amazing time!

We had Andre as our guide and he was just fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide, lovely and friendly and had the answer to every question. The water was crystal clear and the sky was so blue. Absolutely amazing. Would recommend for anyone and everyone who is on holiday in Lisbon. We had a great time seeing all the beaches and caves and made a few new friends along the way.

Fantastic experience for adventurous people!

The trip went exactly as described. Filipe picked us up at our hotel and we went to Sesimbra. We bought lunch for later on at the local market and then proceeded to unload the kayaks. The rest of the day was mostly up to us. The speed, locations and the intensity as a whole was adapted to the group. Filipe was constantly telling us about the most different things of Lisboa and the region in general. We ate lunch at a beautiful hidden little beach where we were just by ourselves. After kayaking back to Sesimbra Filipe brought us back to our hotel and the trip was over. Overall we can recommend the tour very much! It was funny, interesting and had a touch of sporting activity in it, plus a fantastic guide.

Fantastic Daytrip with beautiful views of the coast and lots of fun

I absolutly recommend this daytrip. Our tourguide, friendly, fun and open, showed us around in Sesimbra to a nice little Fruitmarket where we could buy some fruits for the picknick later. We had no experience with cayaking, but with the help of Andre it was no problem and after minutes we headed out for the coastline. The picknick was on a little and calm beach, which gave us the impression to stay somewhere on Hawaii :D After entering a cave on cayak we went back to the beach of Sesimbra. On the road back to Lisbon, we stopped at the ruins of a chapel with a stunning view over the bay of Sesimbra. I only recommend to take a waterproofed camera, because on the cayak I was too scared to take mine out ;D
