Your day will begin when you meet with your driver by the Cafe France, situated in Jamaa Elfna Square. From here, you will drive towards the Toubkal National Park. after 40min drive from Marrakech, you will be welcomed in women managed local craft cooperative. Here you will have A berber breakfast and discer the local products made by these ladies. afterwards drive to Imlil where you will meet with your mountain guide and mule and have some mint tea before heading out to walk. Your journey will take you past waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa imoula village and other villages. You will stop off in Aroumd village and have the opportunity to take in the views of ancient irrigated terraced fields of barley, corn, and vegetables, surrounded by cherry and walnut trees. Your guide will point out things of interest and talk to you about the Berber culture and heritage along the way. You will have the opportunity to have mint tea with a Berber family as you come down through the village and you will then enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in a Berber family guest house. Small villages follow each other in a vast landscape planted with olive trees, separated by a natural border made of prickly pear cactuses. Visiting a traditional Berber Market was one of our highlights,located in Asni & operates on Saturday. Here people come every Saturday to sell their goods and buy their needs. We continue to Imlil valley (64 km from Marrakech) in the Toubkal Massif) , the highest in North Africa (Toubkal 4167m)., which is known for its walnuts, apples and cherries. From Imlil village we go on a short trek by foot or mule between some berber villages... We shall stop at Aroumd to visit this rather singular village in the Assif Ait Mizane Valley, built seemingly house upon house, overlooking ancient irrigated terraced fields of barley, corn and vegetables and surrounded by almond and walnut trees Highlights

After pickup from your hotel or the meeting point at 8:30 am, you will be driven from Marrakech only an hour and half to the heart of the Atlas. At our first stop we will take pictures against the backdrop of the scenic Tahanout village and visit a women’s argan coperative where you will enjoy some Moroccan tea and taste fresh argan oil before the ladies explain their work. Then we will continue our drive to the Atlas Mountains where our walking adventure will begin. We will pass through the quaint Berber villages dotted throughout the Imlil Valley--stopping as frequently as you like to rest and take photos-- then enjoy a lunch prepared lovingly in the traditional Moroccan way by a local family. Afterwards we will walk past the picturesque waterfalls before we go to the heart of Agafay Desert for a wonderful and joyful camel ride. After this fun packed day we will make our way back to Marrakech for a 6:30 pm arrival. Saturday and Tuesday tours also include a visit to a local Berber farmer's market. Discover and explore deep Berber country in the High Atlas Mountains, and enjoy the landscapes of desert, valleys, villages, and open plains on a full-day trip from Marrakech.  The drive takes you first to the Agafay Desert, just south of Marrakech, where you’ll experience some dune bashing before continuing on to the Lalla Takerkoust region, making your first stop on the hills overlooking the lake. From here you’ll begin a 4x4 adventure on dirt tracks rarely frequented by tourists and climb up to the Kik Plateau, where you’ll drive from village to village meeting locals, visiting Berber homes, and sampling their traditional mint tea and homemade bread.  When you arrive at Imlil Village, located in the heart of Toubkal National Park, you’ll have the option of hiking for an hour to Armed village or continue to the village by 4x4. The 1-hour hike with a local guide is of moderate difficulty. In the village you’ll be served a Berber lamb tagine for lunch at a local home or local restaurant. You’ll also enjoy Moroccan salads and homemade bread during the meal.  After lunch and a short relaxation break, you’ll head down a gentle hill to Imlil village, where you’ll meet your driver for the 1-hour trip back to Marrakech via the Haouz plains.

Stop at Aroumd to visit a village in the Assif Aït Mizane Valley. Continue for another half an hour until the stop for lunch which will be prepared by a Berber family in the village of Achayn. After lunch, head back down the other side of the valley back to Imlil and return to Marrakech.

Our driver will pick you up from your riad/hotel in Marrakech at 8:30 am and drive towards the High Atlas Mountains, passing the Moulay Brahim Gorges and Asni village, known for its weekly Berber market every Saturday. We continue to Ait Souka village (2,000m) in the upper foothills of the Western High Atlas. Here, we meet your local guide and muleteer/cook, and enjoy a welcome glass of mint tea before starting our trek towards Imlil Valley via the Ait Souka pass (1,900m). This pass offers stunning panoramic views of the Imlil and Tidli valleys. After a short break at the top, we descend towards the Aroumd River, overlooking several Berber villages such as Tamatert, to reach Ait Souka village. We take a small break in the village for a cup of mint tea in a traditional Berber home. Then, we continue along the riverside to the village of Aroumd, where we will have lunch in a Berber family house or by the river, prepared by our cook. After lunch, we hike up to Imlil Waterfalls Pass (1,990m), enjoying fantastic panoramic views of the neighboring High Atlas peaks and Imlil Valley with its villages. After a break at the pass, we walk down to Imlil town, where our driver will meet us and take us back to Marrakech.
