Enjoy the excitement of driving off-road in the Sonoran Desert on this 2.5-hour tour in Arizona. See the sunset over the desert and encounter local wildlife for a true rural experience. You can also upgrade your tour to include shooting practice as well.
What to Expect
Feel the adrenaline rush as you race across the dirt of the Sonoran Desert in a unique Tomcar off-road rally. A professional guide, who is chock-full with information about the history, culture, and wildlife in the area, leads a caravan across the desert in which you get to drive. For a complete off-road, rural outdoors experience, you can select to upgrade the tour to include target practice with an NRA-certified shooting instructor.
This tour takes you to an authentic western area of Arizona. After meeting your professional guide at the Roadrunner Restaurant and Saloon, you will caravan out into the picturesque Sonoran Desert, where you can drive off-road, whiz around in the dirt, and even make some river crossings. Here you will get an authentic feel of country life in the rural desert, where you can see Arizona cacti, other desert plants, and the local wildlife.
The best part of this tour is that you get to do it all with the added bonus of watching a beautiful Sonoran sunset. Your Tomcar is equipped with LED lights, so you will see the desert from a completely different perspective than you would during the day. Watch the wildlife come out to enjoy the cooler air – you can see anything from coyote and javelina to mule deer and even rattlesnakes.
If you select to upgrade your tour to include the optional firearms experience, you will meet at the Roadrunner Restaurant and Saloon 1.5-hours prior to sunset. A NRA-certified instructor with military experience will lead you through a thrilling firearms exercise using semi-automatic M16s and Glock 17 handguns. Your training will be appropriate to your skill and age level, and your shooting is bound to improve whether you are a seasoned operator or a novice.
