The small area of Val d'Orcia encompasses some of the most beautiful towns of Tuscany. This day trip takes you to some of the most renowned vineyards of the region in the company of a private guide.
What to Expect
Explore charming Val d'Orcia, Italy's “Golden Valley” while riding through its rolling hills to the lovely towns of Montepulciano and Pienza.
The historic centers of these medieval settlements are dotted with artisan workshops where you will have the chance to purchase and taste many local products.
On this day we will visit two wineries which have been specially selected for the high quality of their wine. Because of the limited production of these vineyards, you will enjoy an exclusive chance to taste wines seldom available on the common market. The visit of both wineries includes guided cellar tours, in addition to wine tastings.
While making our return, we will stop in the medieval town of Montalcino where you may choose to have lunch, and then visit the ancient Sant’Antimo Abbey with its charming architecture and surrounding olive groves.
