This tour was great! We learned a lot from our very knowledgeable guide, Annaliese. Her English is excellent. She helped us understand the region and its history (architecture, politics, etc.), as well as the transitions from one era to another and to present day with anecdotes and humor and solid information. It had rained a lot and the river was too high for the boat ride, so we were able to tour the castle of Josephine Baker (Chateau des Milandes). She paced the activities very well and gave us time to explore on our own. She also gave us good tips for continuing on our own later as well as suggestions for places to eat.
Our guide was thorough and charming. She gave the whole tour in french and english which was very impressive. The wines were quite nice, the pours were truly a taste though as opposed to a proper glass but that’s alright. Beautiful scenery on a nice boat that wasn’t crowded at all. Felt worth the price of admission. Would have been nice to learn how to tatste the wines before serving them rather than after, as we had not had a proper crash course in tasting prior to this tour.
Emilian is an excellent guide. He knows his history of the area, is very professional and very personable. We enjoyed our tour very much.
We really enjoyed the two different wines that we tasted and it was nice to sit and relax while seeing many sights of Bordeaux!
Very prompt service, Florence was a great guide. Loved Domme. unfortunately had rain on the boat ride, but it was good too.
