Discover the third biggest geyser field of the world: El tatio Geysers! You will be picked up in your hotel very eraly in the morning (4.30 am) in order to arrive on time for the sunrise at the geysers field. You will visit the field with more than 80 active geysers and later enjoy a wonderfull outdoor/breakfast in the middle of the altiplano. You will also visit the wetlands of Putana and Machuca and will visit the village of Machuca famous for its cheese empanadas y lama meat skewers! Machuca village is a very small native village: you will be able to share with the community. You will discover the beuaty of the altiplano surrounded by volcanoes and wild animals.

Modalities When you make your reservation, you can choose between the following options: Transportation from Calama airport to San Pedro de Atacama. We will take into account the arrival time of your flight and, after landing at the El Loa airport, located in Calama, we will pick you up at the terminal to travel south through the Chilean Atacama Desert. After a journey of approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, we will arrive in San Pedro de Atacama. In this town in the Antofagasta region, famous for its clear skies and Andean landscapes, we will drop you off at your hotel. Transportation from San Pedro de Atacama to Calama Airport We will pick you up sufficiently in advance at your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. For this, we will take into account the take-off time of your flight. After a journey of 1 hour and 20 minutes you will arrive comfortably and without haste at the Calama airport, where you will be able to do some last minute shopping before your flight. Round trip transportation This round trip transfer is the ideal option if you need to travel between Calama's El Loa airport and San Pedro de Atacama, and vice versa, on different days.

Day 1: Transfer from Calama Airport to your San Pedro de Atacama Hotel Pm. Moon Valley After beginning your tour, you will travel to the famous Valley of the Moon, located approximately 10 kilometers away from San Pedro de Atacama and declared a sanctuary of nature. Here you will discover a place with beautiful shapes and colors where you can walk and observe a geological show with sculptural forms, similar to the lunar surface. You can visit the salt statues "Las Tres Marías", as well as the salt caverns. You will then go up to the great dune at sunset to admire this beautiful panorama in all its splendor. Day 2: RED STONES, HIGH PLANE LAGOONS AND SALT FLAT OF ATACAMA We will visit the Laguna Chaxa, with its flamingos in the Salar de Atacama. We can also enjoy the wonderful Altiplanic, Miscanti and little fingers We will be able to get closer to the local culture in the highland town of Socaire. We will observe the Salar de Atacama from above, and we will enjoy beautiful landscapes and broken. In turn, we will hallucinate with the impressive Red Stones. Day 3 AM: Tour Geiser del Tatio (altitude of 4,300 meters) After driving through the night, you will arrive at this spectacular sector of the Altiplano at approximately 6:45AM, normally the temperature at this time is below zero. You will then move to the sector of the thermal pools with 40º water, where guests can take a rejuvenating swim. You will then begin the return to San Pedro, through the impressive landscape of the Andes mountain range. During this route you will also be able to see the Tocorpuri and Licancacabur volcanos. You will eventually arrive in San Pedro at approximately 12:00PM, where you will have free time at 13:00 pm we start the jorney to the Salar de Atacama, where your first stop will be Laguna Cejar, a turquoise lagoon in which you can bathe. Due to this lake's great salinity, you will even be able to float on the water. Later, you will visit the eyes of the Salar, before your tour ends at the Tebinquiche Lagoon, where you will enjoy a beautiful sunset with an aperitif. You will eventually return to San Pedro de Atacama. Day 4: Transfer Hotel San Pedro de Atacama to Calama Airport On the final day of your tour you will be transferred to Calama Airport, or another centrally located part of Calama. The El Tatio Geyser Field stands just over 14,000 feet above sea level in the Andes Mountains of northern Chile and getting there is half the fun. You’ll travel up windy scenic mountain roads surrounded by snow-covered active and dormant volcanic peaks along the way. Magma beneath the surface acts to heat an underground source of water resulting in an explosive release of pressure. As you walk through the fields, steam rising all around, the ethereal environment will have you feeling like you’re on another planet. The local animal life of the geyser field is awe-inspiring as well, demonstrating that beauty can thrive even in such harsh conditions. Geyser field runoff empties into emerald green, geothermal ponds and small streams that trickle down toward lower altitudes. A trip to the third largest geyser field in the world is an experience you won’t soon forget. On this vibrant excursion we will visit the impressive fumaroles of the Tatio geothermal field, in the heart of the Altiplano. Our trip to the Altiplano begins early in the morning, to see the sunrise in one of the most important geothermal fields in the world: the Tatio Geysers, where we will walk around the more than 80 active geysers present. Later we will have breakfast in the area to start our return trip. We will pass through the Machuca wetlands, a slow-flowing body of water, which is a niche for flora and fauna, we will see various birds, including flamingos, and the occasional vicuña. This bofedal owes its name to the town of Machuca, a local town that we will see on the way, with barely twenty houses made of adobe, straw and cactus wood. We will also visit the Putana wetland, a nesting place for various migratory birds and an observation point for the incredible view of the altiplano, the mountain ranges and volcanoes in the background. Then, you'll be returning to the town of San Pedro de Atacama at approximately 12:00 PM.
