What to Expect
Walk the long-distance Saint Paul Trail through central Turkey, following Ancient Roman roads for a true backcountry experience.

The 8-day tour from Antalya covers Turkey's second long-distance trail after the Lycian Way, traveling from Perge, 6 miles (10 kilometers) east of Antalya, to Yalvaç, Isparta, northeast of Lake Eğirdir. A second branch starts at Aspendos, 24 miles (40 kilometers) east of Antalya, and joins the main route at the Roman site of Adada.

Follow the route Saint Paul the Apostle walked on his 1st missionary journey of Asia Minor, climbing from sea level to altitudes of up to 7,200 feet (2,200 meters). Walk through deep canyons and thick forests to the historic sites and ancient villages of the Taurus Mountains.

An experienced guide will be on hand the entire time to ensure you get the most from this unforgettable experience.

Arrive at Antalya Airport and transfer to Koprulu Canyon, the starting point of the walking portion.

In the morning you take a 15-minute transfer to Selge, one of the ancient Pisidian cities. Its history dates back about 2700 years. Selge lies on the slopes of Taurus Mountains in a naturally fortified spot that is difficult to access. After exploring the ancient ruins of Selge you wil continue through the village. Passing through the forest and historical sites, streams, spectacular canyons, and natural rock formations of Delisharnich and Kestanelik chestnut) villages, you will reach Caltepe village  after 7 hours and 45 minutes. Overnight in Caltepe.

Begin the walk from Chaltepe village, situated in the valley. The route passes through the Village and continues along the stream to the North. Although today’s walk is not so difficult, you sometimes have to trek on trails created by rocks, with ascents and descents in some spots. This route takes you along the Canyon and passes through the ancient rock tombs, providing you with a spectacular view of the floating ice-cold water source in the rocks in Degirmenozu village. Overnight in Degirmenozu village.

30-minute transfer to Kesme village, where you will start today’s walk. A spectacular route leads to Sarp Dag (Mt. Sarp) - you'll get the impression that it’s within your grasp. Following an ancient Roman road, you'll be faced with interesting rock formations of juniper and pine trees, as well as old tombs and the remnants of settlements of that period. You'll reach Kasimlar, a high mountain village, after 5 hours and 45 minutes. Overnight in Kasimlar .

Today your walk begins from the pension through the forest, with its oak and juniper trees, to Tota Plateau. You will explore the forest, which also has miniature wild tulips and other bulbs, and enjoy the spectacular views. You might encounter wild horses on the way.

The walk ends with transfer to the same pension in Kasimlar. Overnight in Kasimlar after 4 - 5 hours.

The day begins with a short transfer to Tota Plateau. Today your walk is comparatively long, with ascents of 1650 in some spots. Pass through the dense forest to the antique Adada village. After a short exploration of the village, follow the route to Sagrak village. The path to the village of Sagrak is the first truly stunning stretch of the trail, following the old Roman road through a rocky scrubland of gorse bushes.

Begin walking from Sipahiler village. The pathway goes over limestone ridges and through indigenous oak forest. You will then reach the small Serpil village, surrounded by orchards. At the end you will be transferred to Egirdir, the third-largest Lake in Turkey. Overnight in the Pension by the shores of lake.
