What people are saying about Amsterdam
If you are interested in the backstory to Rembrandt, this is the place to be. Although, check as it is I mportant to show up at the times posted for the demonstrations. Once you go through the exhibit there’s no way back to the first floor where the etching was taking place,,,,you can only walk up the stairs. Otherwise we would have had to wait 45 minutes in the hallway for the next session. Luckily, we ended up at the “How paint colors are made.” Demonstration! The docent was fantastic, knowledgeable and took time to engage the crowd as well as answer the many questions that were asked in several different languages. She, gets our 5 star rating. Equally as essential is the free audio guide to the museum.
Was great. There are a lots stairs in a spiral staircase which is quite dark which my parents struggled a bit with. The attenders on each floor did give out foldable chairs though.
Very atmospheric house . So interesting to see where Rembrandt lived and painted. Excellent talk by the gentlemen explaining how the pigments for his paints were made.
The cruise would’ve been better if the weather was good. Unfortunately it was raining heavily so we didn’t get too see as much as we wished to.
The museum is vrry interesting as the history of Amsterdam. The display are diverse and colorful. the museum itself is very convinient.
