What to Expect
Learn all about diamonds and see them up close on a 1-hour trip to the Amsterdam Diamond Museum. This tour takes you through the diamond factory and explains the whole process from rock extraction to the cut and final polish of the diamonds.
Coster Diamonds was founded by Moses Elias Coster, the famous diamond cutter who started the factory in 1840. Because of his vision and demand for perfection, he soon received many orders from Dutch and foreign customers. His most important work was the request from Queen Victoria to re-cut the famous Koh-i-Noor, a 108 carat diamond which adorns the British queen's Crown Jewels.
During the guided tour of the factory you will be treated to a glass of champagne, each of which includes a brilliant cut stone. Only 1 lucky visitor will have a real diamond in the bottom of the glass, which he or she gets to take home along with a certificate of authenticity.
In addition, you will be shown the exclusive collection of loose and set diamonds, in various price ranges, which are available for purchase.
