What people are saying about Amsterdam
We (3 of us) showed up at the meeting place and time and no one else showed up. I asked another tour guide and he didn't know anything about my tour. He then came back over to us and took a picture of my confirmation and sent it to someone. Being out of the country it cost me to call the tour place but I did and they said they had just received the info from the other tour guide but somehow my reservation got lost. They had asked if we could reschedule for the next day and they would pick us up at our hotel. We had both days planned out so I was so disappointed but glad that at least we could switch everything around and make it work. We had a good tour and everything turned out good. Our tour guide was very nice. I would recommend this tour because it is so interesting to see the wooden shoes being made and just the countryside and history of it all.
Karel is a wonderful guide, full of information about the land, history, sights, politics - anything we could think of to ask questions about. We have a much better sense of the Netherlands after this trip, and are so glad we went beyond Amsterdam in our sightseeing. Karel was flexible and adapted the tour to our interests. His enthusiasm for what we were seeing was infectious. He also went above and beyond, delivering a left-behind cellphone to the airport in time for our flight home.
Outstanding experience. So different from the other things to do in Amsterdam. Plus you get dinner on top of the experience. Great look into the lives of those with limited or no sight. It was also fun not knowing what food was coming.
Guide was helpful and informed. Asked us what we wanted to do. We got to ride through small rural roads instead of the big highways. We saw a working sawmill at the windmill site. Overall, it was a great experience.
Our guide Batya was wonderful. She speaks clearly and drives us around safely, and we had a wonderful time at this tour (small group and we had only 6 people this time). Would highly recommend.
