Full description
Begin your day with pick up from one of the meeting points in central Amsterdam. From there, you can get comfortable in your seat aboard a single-decker coach as you gaze out at the vivid flower fields of the Dutch countryside. Awash with colorful crocuses, tulips, and daffodils, these blooming fields are remarkably beautiful. As you admire them, you can listen to your guide to reveal more about the history of this region. When you arrive at Keukenhof Gardens, step off the bus and embark on a guided tour of the grounds. Covering an area of more than 79 acres (32 hectares), these magnificent gardens are home to innumerable blooming bulbs, all meticulously landscaped into aesthetically pleasing patterns. The gardens are filled with delicate blossoms of all sorts of colors and textures, which emanate a gently perfumed fragrance. Next, continue to the windmill village of Zaanse Schans - an open-air museum that houses a collection of working windmills, wooden houses, barns, and shops dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. All buildings were brought here from 1961 on, bringing back to life this most prosperous period of the Zaan region. Upon arrival at the village, your guide will take you on an orientation tour of the town. Visit the clog museum, annex wooden shoemaker shop, and get to taste Dutch farmer cheese in the cheese farm. Following this, have time to further explore the village on your own. Finally, finish your day with a choice of 2 attractions. Either enjoy the Amsterdam 100 Highlights Cruise which passes all of Amsterdam's famous attractions. Encounter canal houses from the Golden Age, the Westerkerk, and Anne Frank's house. Alternatively, This Is Holland is a unique 5D flight experience. Watch astonishing special effects projected on a huge, domed screen, and feel like you’re soaring over the must-sees sites of the Netherlands.

Immense and well-kept garden. Truly splendid!

Lots of tulips of various types. A paradise full of colors. Unfortunately, the expanses of tulips on the plantations outside the gardens were no longer there, but inside the park it was really full of flowers Even the village with the windmills deserves it. The tour of the canals was interesting especially for the excellent explanations of the audio guide .... it is a highly recommended excursion.

Gardens fabulous, village quaint, canal ride very enjoyable. Tour good

Bus driver and tour guide very good. There were multiple language groups on our tour which took away from her time having to speak in 3 languages when she could have devoted more time to share history of the Netherlands. While most of the tulip fields had already been either clipped or plowed up, they made an effort to find an area that still had a few rows of tulips left. Tour was timely. Enjoyed our canal cruise. Felt the narration via recording on canal cruise could have been more informative.

It was a great nice day trip

Pickup and tour guide everything worked out great, the excursions were very nice. We saw a lot and our tour guide was very nice and told everything wonderful. Only on the last excursion in Amsterdam the canal tour almost all participants did not know where to go. We searched forever. That should have been explained better or someone should have gone along. The canal cruise was a wonderful end to the day. Thanks a lot!
