Join an Anne Frank themed guided walking tour. Learn what life was like following the occupation of the Netherlands by the Germans in 1940-1945, and how Anne Frank became an icon. Hear the story about her diary and how it came to be published by her father Otto Frank. Learn about important events, such as the February Strike and Hongerwinter (Dutch Hunger Winter). Ideal for fans of history, this tour also gives an insight into how the Jewish community lived, survived and still thrives in Amsterdam. The tour ends at Anne Frank's House. Please note that admission to Anne Frank’s House is not included. With this combined ticket you can also visit the Jewish Cultural Quarter in the heart of Amsterdam’s old Jewish neighborhood. In an area of less than one square kilometer you’ll find the Jewish Historical Museum with the engaging Children’s Museum, the stately Portuguese Synagogue, the moving National Holocaust Memorial and the National Holocaust Museum. Here, visitors can find out all about Jewish culture, history and traditions. You can use the ticket for the Jewish Cultural Quarter whenever you wish during your stay.
