What people are saying about Altos de Chavon

Overall rating

4.3
(327 reviews)

It was a private tour for me alone and it was super good. They came to pick me up at the hotel and the excursion lasted 5 hours. First we went to Altos de Chavon and it is super beautiful and has spectacular views. Then they took me to see the Marina of Casa de Campo and finally Playa Manitas (I recommend bringing a swimsuit for a dip). The guide was very friendly and took me to a gift shop with super well-priced souvenirs. I recommend it!

It was great, it’s a fairytale village in Dominican Republic. Robert (our guide) was accommodating, great communicator and made sure we were comfortable. I’m glad I came across this cus most of the excursions are drinking focused and this isn’t that but it’s perfect for visitors that wants to learn a bit more of its history. Altos De Chavon boasts a beautiful and historical scenery. I’m pretty surprised this hasn’t blown up yet.

pretty village. Our guide Toni was very nice and told us a lot (in German) about the Dominican Republic. We also had free time to walk around on our own. Lunch was in a small kiosk/café where Dominicans take a short lunch break or take food with them. We would have preferred the trip without stopping at the gas station and gift shop, unfortunately that's how all tours are

Incredible day with the eco adventure team! Great welcome by the whole team. Its strong points: snorkeling close to the coast up to 6 m deep, friendly meal on the island, visit to the town of Altos de Chavon with an incredible view of the river. I recommend !

Christian was an excellent guide. He speaks Spanish, English and French very well. The island is beautiful and the lunch was very good.
