From there you will observe the Cerro de San Cristóbal, as well as the remains of the Jayrán Wall, which is the wall that surrounded the city of Al-Mariyat. You will then access the second enclosure through the Wall of the Candle to see the Quibla Wall, until you reach the area of the residence of the kings. You will then see the Aljibe and San Juan church, a church rebuilt by the Catholic Monarchs during the reconquest, as well as the pool and gardens that decorate this large enclosure. Finally you will visit the third enclosure, the highest part of the monumental complex, which is the most recent of them all. In addition, you will visit the areas where the famous Game of Thrones series has been recorded. 3. Almería: Alcazaba and Spanish Civil War Shelters Guided Tour

Explore the history behind the Alcazaba of Almería complex and the Refugios de la Guerra Civil Española de Almería (underground shelters from the Spanish Civil War in Almería) on a guided walking tour, entry tickets to both sites included.  Start your visit at Alcazaba, one of the largest fortified complexes in Spain with a surface area of 40,000 meters squared. Its construction has been carried out over almost 500 years from the Islamic conquest to the conquest of the Catholic Monarchs in 1489. Follow your guide through each of the three enclosures and get the rare chance to see scenes from films such as Wonder Woman 1986 and the series Game of Thrones up close and in person. The next part of the tour will be to the largest open and preserved shelters in Europe, the Almería air raid shelters. This place protected around 40,000 people from Almería during the Civil War.  Descend 9-meters underground, and, if you are brave, you can go down farther to 16-meters to discover an old larder, a cool area used for food storage. Keep both eyes open as noises are often heard down here.
