What people are saying about Akumal

Our guide Lily was amazing!

It was a lovely half-day tour! Our guide Lily, absolutely made the trip, effortlessly switching between 3 languages (English, French, German) and providing interesting insights into the sites visited. The marine park at Akumal seems quite overpopulated by tourists and was not as beautiful as we hoped, the coral seemed to be not very healthy? We did see 3 sea turtles, 2 stingrays, and lots of colourful fish! My suggestion would be to go there as early as possible to avoid the crowds. The Aktun Ha Cenote was absolutely the highlight of the trip! Lily showed us all about the geology while walking in shin-deep crystal clear water, plus there's this huge "natural skylight" and we had free time to swim/explore. There was a lady taking photos in the cenote, but $30USD seemed too expensive.

A bit bumpy but we were picked up from our hotel. We had to get the time beforehand by phone. We would have loved to receive an email about this. The bus transfer was without problems. First, we were able to experience an impressive cenote. We could then do some snorkeling in the cool water. It was nice that this was not overrun. Then we went to the “turtlebeach”. We thought that everything (except the tip) was included. Here we had to pay another $ 10 per person. The beach was really beautiful and we also saw turtles snorkeling. An absolutely great experience. We got back on the bus relatively quickly and were taken to the hotel. You can say that we were out from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thanks for the nice guides who stood by our side

Life time experience!

Our tour guide did a fantastic job! We saw several whale sharks in the water. And a big sea turtle and a big Manta from the boat. This was a life time experience! To be next to this more than 10 meter big fish was fantastic! You should get a long sleeve swim shirt and a cap because the sun is really agressiv. The beach and the water at the Isla Mujeres is just amazing. We did a stop there had some snacks and jumped into the crystal clear water. Especially with the current sea grass situation its really worth it to make trip to the clear water of the Isla. In combination with the wildlife and this tour guide I really recommend this tour!

An absolutely incredible experience. Even if you snorkel with the giants for a few minutes, you have to accept many hours of travel (bus and speedboat). Nevertheless, an absolute recommendation !!!! From the boat we also saw dolphins and 2 turtles ... Then we swam in a beautiful bay on Isla Mujeres that is free of brown algae and then ate fresh ceviche, guacamole and nachos on the boat. It was really a great, unforgettable day! Many thanks to Carlos, Chicken and the captain!

Nice adventure, safe and amazing. Our beSt tour in Mexico with a great team
