Once in a lifetime experience Forget the one day visit to Machu Picchu, do this instead. The trail is stunningly beautiful and our guide, Isao was a wealth of knowledge from Inca culture to botanics and animals. With his help we managed to see a Toucan which was very special. We could hike at our own pace while enjoying the amazing mountain landscape and Inca ruins. I highly recommend this trail to all, no need for much experience, just bring the correct gear. The view from Sun Gate is well worth it and you even pass the upper terraces for the Instagram pictures. The tour through Machu Picchu the following day (route 3) gives a really good sense of Inca culture and everyday life. All in all, just do it.

We were picked up from the hotels and train stations, which makes it easier to find. The guides were very good, especially the one in Machu Picchu who knew how to lead the very heterogeneous group. A great tour with impressive locations. The only downside: we were a bit short on time for the last excavation, as the group had to take the train to Machu Picchu at different times and were therefore at the station earlier than everyone needed to be. It would have been great to spend an hour at the excavation instead of waiting. Maybe that can be changed. One group on the same train. Otherwise, really very good!

The guides, Edy and Nilton were absolutely fabulous. Edy was so passionate about the Inka Culture and Macchu Picchu. The trek was challenging at my senior age but Nilton was so helpful and encouraging. The talks from Edy were fantastic and so informative. It made the whole experience so enjoyable and worthwhile. The hotel and evening meal were first class. The Panoramic Train was something else. I have never experienced such fun on a train journey. The band and dancers were fantastic and encouraged us all to do some dancing.

My entire tour was excellent. All guides gave us enough information and support. I’m not a Spanish speaker so my guide was always asking if I was being able to understand all explanations, doing it a little bit slower so I could keep up with all the historical information. Strongly recommend.

Tour all perfect, cesar has been very knowledgeable about machu pichu and Inca history. 2 day Inca trail has been amazing, hit suggested
