Full description
Start your day with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Glenelg or Adelaide. Make your way through the Adelaide Hills to your first stop at the famous Whispering Wall where you will be fascinated by its famous acoustic qualities. Your first winery is the beautiful and historic Château Yaldara, home to not only some of the finest shirazes in the region but to some of the best preserved period architecture in the state. Continuing through the picturesque surroundings of the Barossa Valley, you will cross the iconic Jacobs Creek with time to explore the shops and attractions of the beautiful and historic township of Tanunda, or simply relax over a coffee. Lunch is a regional highlight. Indulge yourself with some of the Barossa’s most internationally acclaimed wines at the beautiful Peter Lehmann Winery while a platter of the best meats, cheeses, olives, assorted vegetables and freshly baked bread is brought to your table (with vegetarian option available). After lunch, it’s on to Langmeil, one of the most visually stunning wineries in the region and home to the oldest known Shiraz vineyard in the world. Stroll through the vineyard and into the ancient cellar to sample your choice of the finest drops the state has to offer. Stopping to take in in the breath-taking panoramic views of the Barossa from Mengler’s Hill Lookout, you will head onwards to the next and final wine tasting experience at Lindsay Wines, fusing art, wine and music into a joyous experience that simply can’t be missed. Take in the winery’s history accompanied by music from the staff’s own collection of vintage vinyl records. Complete your day with a trip through the beautiful Seppeltsfield region, where you will have perfect photo opportunity before heading back to Adelaide for approximately 5:30 PM.

Want an enjoyable day with no added stress of trying to figure out what vineyard to visit, how to get there, how do I enjoy the wines, and enjoy the ambience. Then don't drive go with get your guide. Honestly value for money, you get a delicious food platter for two, see 4 great wineries, sample over 20 wines and get added exposure to the make up of the wines as well as other landmark areas of the Barossa. Then the price of this day is absolutely a good purchase. Ashley, our guide, is a local and understands the culture, area and it's history. To say he is well versed and passionate is an understatement. Great guy. Don't waste any further time goggle searching. You won't be disappointed. Pick up and departure close to door to door. Great day and the atmosphere with other visitors on the bus is just great. Meet new friends by the time the day is finished. My wife and I loved it. Ray & Sue Watkins Newcastle NSW
