My wife and I fell in love with Adelaide and found the local residents extremely welcoming and helpful. The Adelaide Oval tour was the highlight of our Adelaide experience and for that we thank our tour guide Mr Ian Batchelor (?) who made the oval come alive for us. The building was magnificent and built to cater very well for spectators.

The venue far exceeded my expectations of it. The facilities really highlighted for me how sport is now, more than just a game but big business catering for the many expectations of current day players and fans. The retention of the old scoreboard, however is a reality check of where we have come from and it’s simple operation by those few dedicated members who keep its tradition going is to be commended. The design and functionality of the stadium will no doubt stand the test of time for the major sports that are played there of Cricket, AFL & Tennis and give us many happy memories. Elation
