What people are saying about Addo Elephant National Park
Yesterday i when to " Addo Elephant National Park " 75km from Port Elizabeth .. was a long 9 hour day .. was great meet some great guys on my trip there were 7 of us in out 4 x 4 , Our guide was great, new so much about the place and his job, i thought i would have seen more animals but its wild not a Zoo, we did see about 49 Elephants ,all hiding in the bushes as it was hot , but there are over 600 in the park.. its the 3rd biggest national park in Africa, had a great day , lunch food was amazing but service in re7was crap .. they were all standing around chatting ..
Fabulous 5 day garden state tour trip, Isaac our guide was wonderful, open, kind and caring, I learnt so much about South Africa from him, nothing was too much trouble and he became more than a guide, he is now a valued friend. Fabulous scenery, I stayed in wonderful accommodation as was in the hotels/guest houses. The kayaking was fabulous, long journeys on the road however lots of stops and lots to see making each trip great, we had lots of chats and lots of laughs. A trip that I will never forget.
Had a great safari with our cool guide Kevin. He was very talkative and informative regarding the park and animals but also South Africa in general. He was extremely keen on showing us all the animals, held contact with other guides to find them, and tried to give us the best experience possible. Waited at each spot until the group was ready to continue. Included lunch at Cattle Baron was really nice. Would definitely book again!
The guide was very pleasant and nice. We saw some animals and it was wonderful. Elephants, families of elephants with their babies. We saw them playing. We also saw zebras and lions and more. The problems were that: 1. it was very hot in the car. The air con was hardly effective. 2. We drove many hours and saw very little. So most of the time was hot and boring. Lunch was very good. But again, it was very hot at the restaurant.
Generally good. Sightings of big game limited (No fault of the guide). Expected to see more groups of elephants in particular, but generally single animals. Luck of the draw I suppose. Probably wrong time of year..I’m told winter is better
