What You'll Do

Ethiopia is not only diverse culturally and linguistically, but also geographically, from the high central massif of the Simien Mountains to the lowlands of the Erbore and to the plateaus of eastern Ethiopia.
What to Expect
Day 01. You arrive in Addis Ababa, the home of the African Union and many international organization with a guide. Our minibuses will be waiting for you. Check-in to your hotel and in the afternoon visit the National Museum of Ethiopia, the ethnological Museum, St. Georges Church. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02. We drive to the Bale Mountains, via Sodore, admiring Awash River, a bath in the hot water swimming pool and lunch. We proceed via Asela to the Bale National park. Over Nigh camping.

Day 03. View of spectacular fauna & flora at the Bale Mountains. Morning drive & walk at Sanete plateau, with afro-alpine vegetable & the chance to spot the endemic Semien fox. After a lunch box, drive to the Tuludimtu forest for very nice views, different flora and the chance to spot the endemic Mountain Nyala. Overnight camping.

Day 04. We proceed admiring very nice views and crossing the forest, and then visiting Oromo people villages their way of life. Overnight camping in Dolo.

Day 05. Visiting Oromo people we reach Borena people in their villages and settlements. Visit one village with particular traditions. Overnight camping El Sod.

Day 06. Early morning, around 6:30 am, we walk to the crater, to admire Borena people extracting salt from a marshy lake. We return back to the crater, have breakfast. Visit singing wells around Elsod. Then we drive to Yabelo & have lunch box on the way. Proceed to Konso and visit one village. Hotel in Konso.

Day 07. We Drive to the Weyto River valley, see the Tsemay people. We proceed to Jinka admiring Ari people, & proceed to the Mago National park. Crossing the Neri River we reach the Mursi people village of Elwoha. Overnight camping.

Day 08. Full day for Mursi & Body people visiting their villages & culture, way of life. If time permits make a game drive in the late afternoon on the high mountains of the Mago park. ON camping Elwoha.

Day 09. We cross the Mago National park & proceed for the Muguji people in their village. Overnight camping.

Day 10. Visit Karo people in their villages of Duss or Kortcho. Proceed the to the Nyangatom people crossing Omo river, at Kangate. Visit one of their villages, with very interesting cultures. Drive back to the Turmi.

Day 11. Full day visit of Hamer people in their villages with market adjusted to this program then proceed to the Monday market of Hamer, Karo & Dassanech people. If you have luck you will see bull jumping, one of the most fascinating ceremonies. Overnight Lodge in Turmi.

Day 12. We drive to Omo Rate village, where we’ll visit Dassanech people. Then drive back late afternoon to Turmi. Overnight lodge in Turmi.

Day 13. Drive to Erbore and visit Erbore people in their villages, and proceed to Arbaminch. Overnight Hotel in Arbaminch.

Day 14. Morning drive to Lake Chamo and then make a boat trip admiring crocodiles (the biggest in Africa 6M Long, hippos, and birds. Reach the other side of the lake and walk to the Netch Sar Park. Visit many animals, as Swaynes Hartbeest, lesser kudu, zebras, birds & more. Overnight Hotel in Arbaminch.

Day 15. Morningdrive to the Dorze Village to see the people in their villages, and particular way of life and houses. Then drive to the Rift Valley of Langano. Overnight Lodge in Langano.

Day 16. During the morning relax at Langano either go for trekking to Munessa forest, bird watching, horse-riding, cycling, fishing, or swimming , Lunch, then drive to Zway lake, Tiya steles & Adadi Mariam church. Arrive late afternoon Addis Ababa. Dinner in traditional restaurant with folkloristic dances.
