Full description
Take part on an expedition through the dense jungle of one of the most beautiful and scenic regions of Costa Rica, where you can observe the wildlife and unique ecosystem of this fragile environment. Leaving early in the morning, you will travel through the Braulio Carrillo National Park where we will pass mountains covered by dense forests, as well as numerous rivers and waterfalls, until we arrive at the Caribbean of Costa Rica. Here, you cross the banana plantations to board the boat to sail to Tortuguero National Park. Sail the exotic channels of Tortuguero National Park, famous for its solitary beaches where the nesting of gigantic green turtles takes place from July through September. Tortuguero is one of the most important nesting sites of the Green Turtle in the Western Hemisphere. A navigable network of channels and lagoons cross the National Park of Tortuguero, which allows you to view the great variety of flora and fauna and the many species of animals that inhabit this park.

Very good, very detailed, highly recommended

Punctual collection at 5:30; Drive to several hotels, but seen something of San José. Tour guide Señor German very entertaining and a walking lexicon! Fauna, flora, (art) history, politics, culture. We were able to exchange ideas about everything in English and Spanish. Caimans, (howler) monkeys, birds, sloths, turtles, iguanas of all sizes and types and a colorful flora. And a tasty lunch right on the water, what more can I expect. So, I would be happy to recommend it and look forward to repeating it soon

WARNING! Dubious provider.

The provider GrayLine contacted me in advance by e-mail, we agreed on a meeting point and time and I received a confirmation. On the day of the tour we were on time and easily recognizable at the confirmed hotel, but no one from Gray Line came. The telephone support on site did not help either. Instead, GrayLine claims that a guide was there and waited for us - but there was definitely no recognizable guide or vehicle from the provider. Instead, they insinuate that we were not there, say this is a "no show" and on this grounds refuse to repay the money. Very annoying vacation experience !! Better keep your hands off GrayLine !!
