Full description
In the heart of Fiordland National Park, Milford Sound is known as one of New Zealand’s top scenic attractions. On this day tour from Queenstown, jump on board an air-conditioned coach and be entertained with commentary from your driver/guide as you pass through Eglinton Valley, the famous Mirror Lakes and Homer Tunnel. After passing through the 1.2-kilometer-long Homer Tunnel, descend into Milford Sound. Here jump on board a cruise boat and feast on a delicious lunch as your Milford Sound cruise begins. Cruise along the fjord and take in the famous sights of Milford Sound, like the uniquely-shaped Mitre Peak and the glacier-scarred rock walls that rise 1,200 meters vertically from the sea. Keep an eye out for marine life like dolphins, seals and penguins too. The fjord is dotted with waterfalls that tumble through the valleys and crash into the sound far below, making the scenery in Milford Sound spectacular, rain or shine.

An amazing trip with the best Guide! Funny and Quirky was a great time! Super fun and informative! Plenty of stops to overcome tiredness the bus (from someone who has motion sickness) Alongside more than enough time to enjoy the views in the hotspots and take photos and just take in the nature and scene!

Whatever the weather, you must go. It was windy, cloudy and raining when we get to fiorland to the cruise but it was super cool and fun. You're like in real adventure without worrying because the tour coach is experienced and knows everything. He will let you know every details of the mountains/rivers/waterfalls/etc. The cruise itself was amazing and getting wet from the rain and waterfalls was the best experience. While I took a lot of photos of myself and the views. I even met new friends whom I asked to take a photo of me

Earliesh start, but welcomed on board the comfortable coach. Very lucky to have been an independent coach trip and not in convoy. The trip to Milford Sound was stunning and how Paulie managed to keep us informed on everything for most of the journey was very impressive. A few stops for photos was also welcome. The boat trip around the sound was fabulous. ( dont bother with lunch though, rubbish pastie and a drink). Return trip was very pleasant again with some stops and then a film for the rest of a long journey. Fabulous day, long day yes but well worth it.
