Let’s start the journey! You'll begin your journey by picking you up from your hotels.  On you way to the Road to Hana Adventure, you will also see the town of Kahului, Hana Highway, Pukalani Town, passing the small town of Keokea and beautiful countryside farms and ranches on your way to the Ulupalakua Ranch. Explore one of Maui’s oldest and largest ranches with beautiful rolling pastures and green forestry. Leaving the ranch, you enter what locals call (the backside) the most isolated part of the island with unbelievable picture stops, Kaupo Ranch, St. Joseph’s Church (built in 1865) pass small towns such as Kanaio, Kahikinui, Kaupo and local Kaupo store! You'll enter the Kipahulu District and the edge of the rainforest. Charles Linberg’s loved the area so much that he requested to be buried here after he died. Palapalahoomau Church is the site if his grave, another church built in the mid 1800s. You'll then take a trip to the experience the beautiful waterfalls of Maui. Wailua is the largest waterfall visible from the highway and is a spectacular site to see. The Ulupalakua Ranch Store provides your picnic lunch to be enjoyed at Koki Beach in Hana. Koki and Homoa beaches are the 2 most beautiful beaches in the State of United States – and voted so by Travel Magazine more than once. Breathtaking white sand beach and turquoise colored water and the rainforest all coming together right down to the shoreline. Hana and Hana Bay is truly the gem of Hawaii. Hana is the Hawaiian Culture most embraced by the Islands. The lifestyle is laid back with a entrapturing sense of spirituality. Wainapanapa is Maui’s famous Black Sand Beach. Cobalt blue Ocean surrounded by black sand and lava rocks makes for a memorable stop. Go for a walk along the edge of the bay, check out the blue water or just sit under a nice shade tree, great place to spend a few minutes relaxing at one of the islands most beautiful places. Waikani Falls are all visible from the highway and make great picture stops. Pua’a Ka’a state park provides two safe and easy to access waterfalls and fresh water pools. Great place to take a swim. The tour doesn’t stop there! You'll meet two small Hawaiian villages, Wailua and Keanae, who do their best to live like the Native Hawaiians of old. Hunting pigs and growing Taro, Bread Fruit, and Bananas are all big parts of everyday life in this small community. It’s also the site of the Famous Half Way to Hana Snack stand; shave ice, fresh coconut, cold drinks and of course the Original Fresh Baked Banana Bread. Close by, you'll visit the Waikamoi Stream and the Hamakua Ditch. Now you'll make your final run of the Island visiting its beautiful rainforests and Hookipa Beach. The largest area of rainforest in the state of Hawaii is along the Hana Hwy. Moving past Haiku the last stop of the day will be at Hookipa Beach. Considered the windsurf capital of the world enjoy a few minutes watching wind surfers, kite boarders and surfer challenge the oceans waves and shoreline winds. Take pictures, swim, or enjoy the view without the large crowds because of your unique route.

Perfect tour to Hana

The tour is perfect for anyone who wants to experience Hana briefly. You stop at different stops and also get enough time at each stop. Our group consisted of 12 people, so everything was a bit more personal. Our tour guide Eddie was also very nice and funny and told interesting stories. I can really recommend the tour to everyone!

It’s a long day, but worth every minute of these amazing views! Lots of fun stops along the way with beautiful waterfalls and the black sand beach! My husband and I enjoyed this on our 20th wedding anniversary trip. If you want to truly see Maui, you need to take the Road to Hana! Our driver Chris was knowledgeable and made the trip exciting!

Great interesting tour and awesome tour guide. THANKS MAGS IN addition, Mags made sure to stop frequently so we can go bathroom. Make sure you bring a bathing suit, water shoes (I dont mean flip flops), and a towel so you can enjoy swimming in the waterfall and on the black beach.
