Full description
Enjoy an unhurried Hawaiian adventure on the world-famous Road to Hāna. Join a coastal drive with a small group through breathtaking valleys, lush rainforests and desert-like landscapes. Experience true Hawaiian-style touring while learning about Hawaiian culture, history, myths and legends from a knowledgeable and fun local guide. Start your day with a light breakfast of fresh fruit and locally made pastries. Then begin your Maui adventure along the road to Hāna, from town to country, through valleys and rainforests. Wind along the spectacular coastline through 617 curves and across 54 one-lane bridges.   Stop for photo opportunities along the route, which will take you past beautiful coastline, spectacular waterfalls and remarkable cliffs. You will also have the chance to cool off and have a swim at one of Hawaii’s unique white, red, and black beaches.   After a laid-back Tahitian BBQ lunch, dive deeper into the island’s soul and traverse Maui's rural and unpaved "other side," stopping at small towns and villages. Get to know the locals, see their tropical fruit farms and small businesses, and get insider insights into traditional Maui life from your local guide. This was great! It showed me more about Hawaii, and the people there more than any thing else I saw or experienced. I loved seeing the black sand beach with the lava tube and blow hole. It was a super laid back experience. Our guide grew up in Hana, and was fun and knew everything about the area. Nathan was great.

Shelly was our driver and guide- she was amazing. She is from Hana and knew all the ins and outs of the highway. So glad I booked THIS tour- I would have not known where to stop if I would have driven it myself. Lunch was great - very large portions.

Great tour with Lenny at Mahalo Tours! He knew the answers to most questions from our group of 8, and gave us all sorts of great History and Culture on the Islands of Hawaii, especially Maui and all of the different parts of this gorgeous island! Best tour guide and we highly recommend this to anyone coming to Maui! Mahalo Lenny!
