The experience was incredible, and wouldn’t have been as enjoyable if it weren’t for the fantastic tour guides (A man named José Mario and his wife). The Fort of San Diego featured beautiful architecture and fascinating artifacts that were rich with culture and history. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable about the history of not only the fort, but Mexico too. They also took us through the main plaza in Acapulco, stopping along the way for refreshing and freshly squeezed juice. Our last stop was La Quebrada. Here, we were able to witness the brave cliff divers dive from soaring heights as they acrobatically flipped through the air and gracefully landed in the crystal clear turquoise water. Every step along the way, the two tour guides, a husband and wife, were always ready to lend a helping hand, whether by offering water or providing information on the city. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, which was only enhanced by the gracious tour guides.

Acapulco Municipal Market & Palma Sola Archaeological Zone

Roger and Alex our guides picked me up very punctually, they were very knowledgeable and fun to be with, they make my visit not only an interesting one but fun as well. We were the only visitors so we had an uninterrupted time exploring the site. It is steep, hot and muggy but worth the trek to see the rock drawings from nearly 3000 years ago. A wonderful way to spend an hour or two and take you away from the hustle and bustle of busy Acapulco. We after head visiting the Municipal Market, this is different than the so called flea market, the goods are fruit, spices, home baked goods, some crafts, and pottery. After visiting it, I think we saw the real people of Acapulco this is a great place to buy fresh foods and other lovely items. I recommend this tour if yo u want to get out of the beaten path and if you want to learn about Mexico.

This was one of our favorite activities we did while in Acapulco! Our guides, Rudy and Alfonso, were full of interesting information about past and present Mexico. It made the travel times fly! They speak excellent English and have great senses of humor. We enjoyed learning about the silver mining and shopping. The church was stunning and the stories grand. I HIGHLY recommend this tour if you visit. You will travel in a comfortable, air conditioned van.

Very knowledgeable driver and guide: Santiago and Rudy. Both had great English language skills which we needed since our Spanish is very limited! The tour gave us a good first impression of the city of Acapulco, just what we were hoping to get. We also got great information on the history of Acapulco.

We had a great time!! The tour guides “Santiago and Mario “ were the best. The humor , respect and caring personality of these guys made the tour outstanding.... THANKS GUYS
