Dubai is close to Abu Dhabi: why not visit during your airport stopover at Abu Dhabi, and explore the city's amazing sights, including the world's tallest building - the Burj Khalifa.
What to Expect
Upon arrival at Abu Dhabi airport, you will be greeted by a driver-guide who will transfer you by private vehicle to Dubai (about 90-120 minutes’ drive). On the way, see the fascinating Palm Islands, including The Palm, Jumeirah: the palm-tree shaped island crowned by the stunning Atlantis hotel. Next, go to a location where you can take pictures of the Burj Al Arab hotel from outside.
Next, see the world's tallest building: the Burj Khalifa, 2,772 feet (828 meters) high. You may opt for a tour, in which you will travel on the world's fastest elevator and explore an observation deck on the 124th floor, to marvel at 360-degree views.
Once down from the observation deck, experience a glittering fountain show at the Burj Khalifa lake. Finally, head towards Bur Dubai where you can experience historical sites, venture into Bastakiya, and see Dubai's inspiring old quarter. Visit traditional textile, spice and gold souks, and take a ride on an abra (water taxi). Finally, your driver-guide will return you to Abu Dhabi airport for your departing flight.
