From Murano, head towards the islands of Burano, famous for its bright coloured houses and lace production, and Torcello, a little oasis of quiet in the middle of the lagoon. You can also go to Punta Sabbioni, or simply return to Santa Lucia Station, with one stop only at Zattere by the Canale della Giudecca, where you can learn the art of gondola-making. Glad we used this option as had lots of free time to go where and when we want rather than the rush of a guided tour! The staff on the boats were very helpful and gave clear instructions in English about when and where next boats were etc. felt very reassured.

I enjoyed this tour but we had to figure out everything on our own. The map wasn’t provided to us. We had to eventually ask someone from the boat for a map. It was unorganized. No one explained how the maps work. Some boats would leave before the time on the map and some of the boats would leave 10-15 minutes after the time on the map.

We chose this tour mainly because of Murano and Burano. We particularly liked Burano with the colorful houses! In contrast to public water buses, the boats were never overcrowded - there were enough seats. The personnel was very friendly and helpful! We definitely recommend the tour.
