Full description
Enjoy a panoramic 3-hour sightseeing tour of Rome from behind the wheel of an iconic vintage Fiat 500. Departing from a garage just meters from the Colosseum, you will set off in convoy to see many of the Eternal City’s most historic sights. But you are as much an attraction as the Roman Forum and narrow streets of Trastevere from the seat of your candy-colored car. Stop from time-to-time to take pictures of sites en route, such as the Arch of Constantine and Circus Maximus. See curious sights, such as the secret keyhole of Aventine Hill, and the charming Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta (Piazza of the Knights of Malta). Drive along the Lungotevere, following the banks of the River Tiber. And cross into Trastevere, where the tight streets are a breeze for vehicles as small as the Fiat 500! Your guide will give brief explanations in English or French, before you head off again, never going faster than 18.5 mph (30 kmph). Vehicles even have a soft-top roof so you can enjoy the sun. Stop for a cappuccino or espresso, or one of the most incredible ice creams in Rome. Please note: driver must be in possession of a European Union or an International driving license  If you don’t feel like driving, then a driver can be provided for a small surcharge. The tour is designed to reach spots that the big hop-on, hop-off buses can’t get to. And undoubtedly you’ll feel like a movie star on the red carpet as you turn heads wherever you go. You can choose between 2 different options: a 90-minute tour or a 3-hour tour.

I found this on the getyourguide app and booked it for myself and my girlfriend so we could have some fun and make great memories in Rome. It was fantastic! It was the highlight of our trip (for both of us). We are from Ireland so we were a little cautious at first because unlike people in Rome the Irish drive on the left side of the road and the gear stick is also on the left hand side as well in Ireland. The tour guides were lovely and Jack was brilliant! He knew we were a little nervous at first but he was patient with us and put us at ease. He didn't pressure us and didn't mind if we were trailing a little behind. We had few laughs as well along the way and both got a chance to drive. We stopped at some lovely sites and can't recommend this enough. We would definitely do this again. We got some lovely pics as well. People were also taking pics of the car and looking at us as we drove through the streets. If you are thinking of booking this then do because you won't regret it!

The exit with the Fiat 500 was a great experience. Everything was perfectly organized and our guide Edo did a great job. We passed places worth seeing on the exit and received helpful information about the sights on site and on the way! We also had exciting conversations about the country and its people. The Fiat 500 was in neat, excellent condition. It's nice that so much heart and soul is put into old cars. We can 100% recommend the tour. The tour was a lot of fun for us!

It was a great and fun trip. We criss-crossed the city and received some information via walki talkies, which was sometimes difficult to understand due to the background noise. We made a few stops and were able to learn more about the history and city from the guide and take photos. Definitely worth it. Of course you should be brave enough to find your way through the traffic in Rome. However, the guide will stop immediately if someone loses touch.
