Get off the beaten path of Venice, away from the crowds. With a guide, explore the heart of Venice, including lesser-known areas, rich with history such as the Rialto Bridge. First, discover Campo Santa Maria Formosa, one of the largest squares of the city, and explore the nine streets and 11 bridges that branch from it. Cross the Campiello degli Orbi, where once lived presumably a blind people Confraternity. Next, arrive at the Saints John and Paul area, now the site of Venetian hospital. Visit the labyrinth of calli and campi (narrow Venetian streets and squares) and find Marco Polo's House, a building believed to be the home of the famous explorer, marked by a white plaque and now used as a theater. Finally, pass through St. Mark's Square with its stunning monuments as well as Doge's Palace. Choose an optional gondola ride on the canals to admire Venice's highlights, such as the Mozart House, the Fenice Opera House, and the Grand Canal. End your tour at Piazza San Marco.

A great way to spend a little bit of one of our days in Venice! We learned so many fun and interesting facts about the city that we otherwise would have never known! the very kind guide speaking French well, dynamic. on the other hand the name "unusual" is not necessarily appropriate because the 2 unusual places are "the smallest little alley in Venice (50 cm wide) and a library that looks like Harris Potter. the other places called "unusual" are essentially ancient palaces, churches

Francesco was very friendly and nice and the tour not bad even though the audio system/ headphones didn’t work and Francesco had to speak both English and Spanish which took longer. However at the end of the tour we were taken to the gondola area and for some reason we could not join the 4pm gondola ride which we booked and made to wait more than half an hour to be put with the 4.30pm gondola. By the time we got onto our gondola it was 4.55pm much after sunset and most of our ride was dark
