The tour is extremely informative - but also a little tiring. Our guide is/was certainly an art historian and probably knew the year + the artist + the place of origin +++ for everything and everything. We were a family with 2 adults and 2 middle school aged children. We learned a lot on the tour about the Palazzo Ducale and San Marco Basilica. The tour was about 3hrs in which we covered a good portion of exhibits and also got to spend a considerable amount of time on the balcony of the Basilica to marvel at the Square and the waterfront. We were visiting during the busy Easter week so by booking the tour it reduced the headache to ensure we got tickets and entered the sites within a reasonable time especially with limited access due to COVID restricted times.

Although the visit was in English, the guide also translated every explanation into Italian. Perfect organization and timing. The islands are beautiful: in Murano the visit to the furnace with the master glassmaker who created two glass objects was beautiful and very interesting. I didn't know Torcello pretty. Delicious Burano but on Sunday there were too many people in my opinion.
