Was great. Took us around town. The maps were extremely confusing however and not all stops had the corresponding numbers on the signs. Otherwise, it was great.
The excursion begins at Marina Zeas where guests are expected to come on board at 8:45 AM. The first stop of the cruise is the island of Agistri, surrounded by vibrant blue waters and clothed in pine trees. Here you can connect with the lush nature and feel the presence of ancients Greeks and deities while swimming and relaxing on the hot fine sand of the long flax-golden beach between Megalochori and Skala. Adventure lovers can join the optional bike tour between Melalochori and Chalikiada Beach.
From there, move onto the island of Moni or Metopi ( depending on weather ). Temple of Poseidon and Cape of Sounio sunset tour: You will drive along the south coast to the Athenian Riviera, which will allow you to easily reach the otherwise hard-to-get-to Sounion. Once there, you will be dazzled by the famous landscapes that surround Sounion. In the times of the ancient Greeks, this site was revered as sacred ground dedicated to the gods Poseidon and Athena. You can marvel at the Temple of Poseidon, which perched upon the cliff’s edge 70 meters above the sea. Later, walk the blessed earth of Sounion, one of the places sung about it in Homer’s Odyssey. You can then stand upon the same cliff where it is said King Aegeus threw himself off. The tale is told in Greek mythology that Aegeus told his son Theseus that if he defeated the Minotaur, he should return to Athens with ships bearing white sails. Theseus forgot this request, and when Aegeus saw ...
It was a nice tour. The bus is very comfortable and you learn alot from the audio tour. Be aware it is a sunset tour so you'll arrive with only an hour and a half to do things. This is fine if you only want to have a drink and explore the temple. If you want to explore the beaches and towns you will need more time.
This 5-hour excursion begins with a pick-up at your accommodation in Athens. Enjoy a comfortable 50-minute drive along coastal roads in an air-conditioned minivan. Take in views of idyllic beaches and small villages along the way. At the ancient Greek temple to Poseidon, the god of the sea, the guide will tell you about its history. Enjoy some time here to relax and take in the views over the Aegean Sea. Cape Sounio is best known for its spectacular sunsets and blue flag beaches. During a stop here, enjoy the opportunity to swim nearby. The tour ends with a drop off at your hotel in Athens.
I was looking for an afternoon sunset tour to Cepe Sunion that would combine seeing some of the Athens Riviera and some swimming. This one fit the bill. On top of everything we had a wonderful guide, Sotiris, a comfortable Mercedes van, and there were only 5 of us - allowing for safe travel and social distancing. The program was well-chosen, the swimming spot was perfect, so was the timing - we made it to the temple of Zeus in time to see it and then watch the sunset. Everyone was very pleased and said it was the highlight of their experience. Sotiris was a wonderful guide and driver - polite, friendly and attentive. Communication with the host was great - he told me where to be for pickup and explained how to get there. I recommend the tour. Take it, you'll enjoy it.

Nice way to get an overview of the area and sites to visit during our stay. We planned to pick up the bus along the route after having taken a cab to a specific site. It was difficult to locate exactly where the pick-up point was; the map provided does not give enough detail to find the stop. We finally did find it after wandering around a bit. The bus arrived about 10 minutes later than the schedule indicated.

If you’re interested in ancient Greece history and staying in Athens, this is a perfect choice for you. Mycenae and Epidaurus are must-see destinations for everyone who enjoys visiting and learning about ancient landmarks and Napflio is a beautiful coastal city with many instagrammable spots. Athena & Gary were very helpful, funny and entertaining guides. They shared with us a lot of information about visited places, history of Greece, Greek mythology and modern Greek language & culture. We were travelling with a small group of 7 people from 4 different countries what made our trip even more interesting. The guides were open to adjust the schedule to our need so in Nafplio one part of the group enjoyed lunch while the other were walking around the city. Meeting point was very easy to access via metro and travelling by bus was great because we had a chance to see some really beautiful coastal landscapes. All Covid-related safety rules were followed. Highly recommended!!
Theodore and Athena were informative, friendly and flexible. Really great guides who know everything there is to know about Greek history and mythology. Do take the opportunity to pick their brains! We had an affordable lunch in Nafplio and although this tour does not pick you up from your airport, it is easy to get to the meeting place- a metro stop. We did not find it a problem. We were also able to safely keep our suitcases on the bus during the day. Would recommend.
The great guide Anastasia was missing, telling the mythology, she opened it finished, but it is very intense to be in the enigmatic temple the fall and the sun, something unique, the great driver
