From Ashdod Port: Jerusalem And Bethlehem Small Group Tour
- Duration: 9 hours
Your guide will be waiting for you with your name on the sign as you arrive at the port of Ashdod. Join a small group of 6-16 people for the drive to Jerusalem in a new, air-conditioned van. While in Jerusalem, you'll visit the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, and the Jaffa Gate. You'll see both Christian and Jewish Quarters of Jerusalem, for a complete experience of this famed city. See the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Via Dolorosa, and the Western Wall or Wailing Wall. To round out your visit to the Holy City, you'll have a chance to explore the colorful Arab Souk. In Bethlehem you'll visit the Church of Nativity, and The Grotto if queues and accessibility allow. Then you'll have time for local Palestinian shopping. This is a mandatory requirement from the Palestinian Tourism Service, and might be the only time you'll ever be able to claim that you just had to shop! ...
Our guide was great, very friendly & informative. It was crazy in Jerusalem but very special to be there during Pesach. The only frustration was that there were 4 people from Costa Rica in our group that did not speak English, nor did our guide speak their language. This was not ideal for anyone (them, us or Anneke) & slowed things down unnecessarily. If it weren't for this, I would have rated the tour as excellent!

Our tour guide Ryan and driver met us inside the arrivals lounge we felt instantly relaxed and comfortable. Once we departed the parking area, Ryan made us all feel at ease and proceeded to explain all we could see around us, the landscape, the rush hour traffic, methods of cultivation etc. We reached Jerusalem and alighted on the Mount of Olives very spectacular, Ryan spent time explaining which areas to photograph, he had a crystal clear voice so we heard every word despite masses of other visitors. We visited important religious sites, gardens, and took in amazing views, Ryan was constantly delivering useful information, and preparing us for what was ahead. The stages of the cross were awe inspiring and many of other visitors were stopping to eavesdrop Ryan's perfectly executed delivery of not just basic information, but in depth, and very relevant historical & political content. The whole day was an incredible travel experience, it will live in our memory for ever......
Great company, wonderful guide, super tour and marvelous lunch Family business and to quote something I shall always regret "Does what it says on the [tin]" tour website...Micki is an informative, interested guide...she was perfect for us - just a small mini-coach of 16 tourists. Wish we did the two tours rather than just the one ie Galilee etc rather than just Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Would have no hesitation to recommend to friends, family and strangers!
I knew that this excursion would be a busy day. However, thanks to our guide Ronnie and our driver Achbar time flew past and it wasn't until we returned to our cruise ship that we realised just how exhausted we were! But we had seen everything we wanted to see and more much more. Ronnie kept up an informative commentary. The three of us found her easy to listen to and extremely knowledgable .
A fantastic day with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide who took us to parts where the big coaches can't go. Definitely good value for money and a small group of 14 made it a very friendly tour. I would strongly recommend this company instead of the usual Thomson tours.
Very impressed with the organisation of the tour and danny our guide is very knowledgeable and took time to answer all questions put to him
